Tulsa Men’s Tennis Remains Strong Through Day Two of Ivy Plus Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis squad took home five singles victories on the second day of the Ivy Plus Invitational on Saturday at Princeton.
In the second match of the day for the Golden Hurricane, Boriss Kamdem continued his fall hot streak, taking down Peter Litsky of Brown University, 7-6(2), 7-5. Kamdem advanced to semifinals of his respective draw with the win, but fell to Agie Moreno (LSU) in the semi's, 6-3, 7-6(4).
Standout Jarod Hing picked up two victories on the second day of competition, first taking down Charles Tan of Brown University, 7-5, 4-6, 10-4. Hing would follow it up with a convincing win against Davis Wong of Michigan State, 2-6, 6-3, 13-11.
Tom Thelwall-Jones rebounded after taking a loss in his first match of the day. The newcomer responded by defeating Columbia's Jack Turchetta in three sets, 6-1, 1-6, 10-7.
Newcomer Kody Pearson followed suit, falling in his first match on Saturday, but responding nicely with a victory over Joseph Thomas of LSU, 3-6, 6-4, 10-4.
The tournament resumes for each of the four TU competitors at the Ivy Plus Invitational on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. with doubles action.
