Tulsa Men’s Tennis to Host Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis team is set to host its first of two tournaments this fall, the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships, beginning on Saturday, Sept. 29 through Monday, Oct. 8 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The tournament includes a pre-qualifying round (Sept. 29-30), qualifying round (Oct. 1-2) and the main draw (Oct. 4-8). Championship matches for singles and doubles matches will be played on Monday, Oct. 8.
In singles, newcomer Tom Thelwall-Jones will begin in the pre-qualifying draw, while Boriss Kamdem will start in either the pre-qualifying or qualifying draw. In the qualifying draw, Daniel Siddall, Jarod Hing and Joshua Goodger will compete for a chance to make the main draw. Majed Kilani and Kody Pearson have already qualified for the main draw.
For doubles, the team of Kamdem/Thelwall-Jones is awaiting to see if it will be entered in the qualifying draw. The duo of Kilani/Pearson will make its appearance in the qualifying draw, while the tandem of Hing/Siddall is already slotted in the main draw.
Pre-qualifying for singles will feature 256 athletes competing for 16 spots for the qualifying rounds.
Qualifying for singles will consist of 128 players, with 16 spots into the main draw up for grabs. Qualifying rounds for doubles play will be comprised of 64 teams, competing for just eight spots into the main draw.
The main draw for doubles will be a field of 32 teams, while the field for singles will be compiled of 64 athletes.
This marks the 14th-straight year Tulsa serves as the official tournament host.
