Golden Hurricane Set to Host Tulsa Volleyball Invitational

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa volleyball team is set to host its first home matches of the 2018 season this weekend, the Tulsa Volleyball Invitational, on Sept. 7-8 in the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
The tournament is the third of four tournaments before conference play begins for TU, featuring Abilene Christian, Northwestern State and cross-town rivals Oral Roberts. The weekend consists of five matches, beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a doubleheader.
Tulsa (4-2) squares off with Abilene Christian in its first match of the tournament on Friday at 6:30 p.m. CT. It will be the first meeting between the teams in program history.
On Saturday, the Golden Hurricane open the day with an 11:30 a.m. matchup against Northwestern State. TU boasts a 7-0 record all-time against the Lady Demons.
In the final match of the tournament, Tulsa goes head-to-head with in-state rivals Oral Roberts at 7 p.m. in the Reynolds Center. The Hurricane own a 22-57 record all-time against the Golden Eagles, but have won the past 10 matchups between the teams.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
