Box Score in PDF

Harris Partain scored a pair of goals forcing double overtime, but ninth-ranked UCF scored the game-winner at 103:50 to hold off the Golden Hurricane, 3-2, at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex in Orlando, Fla.  TU fell to 4-6 on the season and 0-2 in American Athletic Conference play, while UCF moved to 8-1-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the league.

The Golden Hurricane were able to get into a rhythm in the second half.  Trailing 2-0, a combination of Chase Bromstedt and Mitchell Cashion found Partain, who found an opening in the back of the net.

He would go on to score the equalizer off a feed from Alejandro Chavez in the 86th minute, knotting the contest at 2-2.

In the first overtime period, each team attempted one shot, but the Knights edged the Hurricane in the second overtime period, 3-1.

After forcing TU into a turnover, UCF's Cal Jennings fed Gino Vivi a pass for the game-winning goal at 103:50.

Partain led the Golden Hurricane with a team-high three shots, all of which were on goal. Bromstedt, Chavez and Sean Gavin each attempted two shots, while Alex Garcia and Adam Habib both added one attempt. Bryson Reed logged all 103:50 in goal, finishing with two saves.

UCF led Tulsa 16-11 in shots, including a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal, and had a 7-4 lead in corner kicks.

Tulsa returns to action on Saturday, October 19, against Cincinnati. Game time is set for 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium on the TU campus.
