TRAV'S COATS FOR KIDS
• TU Basketball is teaming up with Yale Cleaners, News on 6, Catholic Charities, and ORU to raise coats for Trav's Coats for Kids.
• Be sure to donate a new or gently used coat at the TU-ORU men's basketball game on Nov. 12, or the women's game on Nov. 21  and receive FREE Admission to the game.
• TU and ORU aren't just battling on the court for these games as the University that collects the most coats will have their flag flown at city hall.
 
THE GAME
• Tulsa plays cross-town rival Oral Roberts in the Annual Mayor's Cup Game.
• The game is the second of 5 home games in the month of November for the Hurricane.
• Tulsa and ORU have each faced Houston Baptist at home this year. Tulsa won by a score of 80-72, while ORU had a 14-point win over the Huskies, 95-81. 
 
THE SERIES
• This is the 55th meeting between Tulsa and ORU.
• Tulsa leads the series 35-19 and has won the last 3 meetings, and also has a 19-7 home record in the series.
• The Hurricane won last year's game at the ORU Mabee Center by a score of 69-59.
• The first game was played in March 1974 as Tulsa claimed an 85-84 home win at the Fairgrounds Pavilion.
• The teams have played at least one game in all but 5 seasons (1987-88 to 1990-91, and 2011-12).
• Since the 2000 season, the two teams have played 18 games, while Tulsa has an 11-7 record during that time.
 
THE LAST HOME GAME
• Tulsa opened the season a week ago Tuesday (Nov. 5) with an 80-72 win over Hosuton Baptist, as Jeriah Horne scored 22 points to lead The Hurricane.
• The victory extended Tulsa's non-conference winning streak to 14 games over three seasons.
Martins Igbanu and Brandon Rachal added 16 and 12 points, respectively, while Rachal had a team-high 10 rebounds. 
• Tulsa dominated points in the paint 48-to-20, scored 20 points off of HBU turnovers and converted on 21-of-27 free throws for 78 percent. 
• Tulsa took its first lead of the game with 0:34 left in the first half when Horne hit a jumper in the paint for a 39-38 lead. Tulsa had a 41-38 halftime lead.
• UTA took the lead again in the second half, but Tulsa retook the lead and led by as many as 13 points.
 
EXPERIENCE ON THE ROSTER
• Last season, Tulsa was one of just seven Division I programs without a scholarship freshmen on its roster. TU's only freshman was walk-on George Christopoulos, who redshirted the campaign. 
• This season, the Tulsa roster boasts nine upperclassmen (seven juniors, two seniors). The junior class includes a pair of JUCO transfers in Brandon Rachal and Emmanuel Ugboh, along with Reggie Jones, who played his first two seasons at Western Michigan before transferring to Tulsa. However, one junior, one sophomore and one freshman will red-shirt this season.
• In all, Tulsa's 14-man roster has a combined 18 years of Division I playing experience.
 
THE SENIORS
• The only seniors on the Tulsa roster this year is 6'8" Martins Igbanu and 6'5" Lawson Korita.
• They have each started games since their freshman seasons. The two players have now combined to start 123 games, 74 for Igbanu and 49 for Korita.
• Last year, they combined to score 25-percent of Tulsa's points and 24-percent of Tulsa's rebounds.
• Igbanu averaged the second-highest point total behind DaQuan Jefferies, now with the Sacramento Kings, with 12.5 points, while Korita was the 6th leading scorer with a 5.7 average.
• Igbanu's .616 field goal percentage was second in the American Athletic Conference behind UCF's Tacko Fall's .748 percentage.
 
SIXTH MAN JERIAH HORNE GET STARTS THIS YEAR
• Last year, Jeriah Horne was one of the top 6th men in the American Athletic Conference. He played in all 32 games and received just one start.
• Horne has been in the starting lineup in Tulsa's first 2 games.
• He had  a season-best 22 points on 8-of-16 from the field in the opening against Houston Baptist.
• Last year, Horne was Tulsa's third-leading scorer with a 10.1 average and was also third in rebounding with a 4.9 average.
• Horne shot 44-percent from the field and 37-percent from 3-point range, while knocking down 82-percent of his free throws.
• He ranked 10th in the American Athletic Conference for 3-point percentage (.374).
 
REGGIE! REGGIE! REGGIE!
Reggie Jones scored a game-high 19 points at UT-Arlington.
• He came off the bench and in the first half and scored 14 straight points, taking Tulsa's point total from 2 points to 16 from the 14:49 mark to the 5:38 mark.
• He connected on 5-of-12 from the field, 3-of-5 from 3-point range and 6-of-10 from the free throw line vs. UTA.
• In 2 games off the bench, Jones averages 12.0 points and 5.0 reobunds, while shooting 57-percent from 3-point range (4-of-7), but just 41-percent from the field overall.
 
THE NEW GUYS 
Brandon Rachal was a 4-star signee out of high school with LSU. After one season, he transferred to Pearl River JC where he was a second-team NJCAA All-America selection last year. He averaged 15.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists
Reggie Jones sat out last year after transferring from Western Michigan University. In his 2 seasons, he averaged 9.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He was named to the MAC's all-Freshman Team in 2016-17 after averaging 9.4 points and 3.5 rebounds.
• Seven-footer Emmanuel (Manny) Ugboh played 2 seasons at Iowa Western Community College where he started 61 games. He averaged 9.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks during his career.
• Freshman Isaiah Hill brings strong prep credentials from Bakersfield, Calif., where he set school records at Liberty HS for career points (1,822) and points in a single season (677). Fellow freshman Josh Earley led his high school team to three state titles in Kansas.
 
WHAT'S NEW SO FAR
• In 2 games, the 5 newcomers, who have played this season, are scoring 38-percent of Tulsa's points and grabbing 45.7-percent of Tulsa's rebounds.
• Two of the 5 have scored in double-digits as Rachal had 12 points vs. Houston Baptist and Jones 19 at UTA.
• In the season opener, Rachal, Jones, Hill and Earley all got into the scoring column and scored 29 of Tulsa's 80 points, while grabbing 19 of Tulsa's 40 rebounds.
• At UTA, the newcomers scored 41-percent of Tulsa's points and 43-percent of Tulsa's rebounds.
 
TULSA'S SUCCESS IN THE AMERICAN
• Since joining the American Athletic Conference prior to the 2014-15 season, the Golden Hurricane has posted 54 league wins, which is the fifth-most in the circuit during that time.
• Only Cincinnati (71), Houston (58), SMU (57) and Temple (55) have earned more victories than Tulsa's 54. 
• TU has finished better than its preseason prediction in each of Haith's five seasons. Tulsa is the first program in The American history to finish better than its preseason prediction in five consecutive seasons. 
• The Golden Hurricane was picked to finish 10th this season.
 
HOME COOKIN'
• After hosting the first TU men's basketball game on Dec. 29, 1998, the Golden Hurricane is in its 22nd  season in the Donald W. Reynolds Center this year.
• Tulsa has posted an overall record of 254-75 (.772) in its 20+ seasons, including 1-0 this year and a 14-3 mark last season. Tulsa's 14 home wins last season were the most for the team since the 2009-10 season, when it claimed 16 home wins.
• The building has seen 42 sellouts and 1,931,620 fans have witnessed Tulsa basketball at the Reynolds Center.
 
EARNING DEGREES
Frank Haith has made achievement in the classroom as much of a priority as success on the basketball court over his nearly 15 years as a head coach. During head coaching tenures at Miami, Missouri and Tulsa, 59 of the 63 (93.1-percent) seniors that have come through his programs have earned a degree. 
• Since arriving at Tulsa, 19 of the program's 20 seniors (95-percent) have graduated, including DaQuan Jeffries, Alex Foree, Sterling Taplin, Lindsay Deline Jr. and Curran Scott from last year's team.
