Tulsa in 15th Place After Opening Round at the Bryan National Collegiate

Browns Summit, NC – The Tulsa women's golf team opened play at the Bryan National Collegiate on Friday carding a round of 313 and sits in 15th place with two more rounds remaining at the par-72 Bryan Park Champions Course.
 
Tulsa senior Johanna Samuelsson leads the way for the Hurricane with a score of 76 for 46th place, followed by freshman Lorena Tseng's round of 77 for 56th place. Freshman Sammy Liu and senior Nicole Marquardt are tied for 77th place after rounds of 80 on Friday, while sophomore Taylor Dobson's score of 82 is good for 85th place.
 
The nation's 12th-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons ran away from the field in the opening round with a 14-under par 274, while Wake players take up the first three individual slots. Wake Forest has an 11-stroke lead over second place North Carolina State.
 
Second round action begins Saturday morning at 8:30 am (ET)/7:30 am (CT).
