Tulsa Men’s Tennis Signs Three Top Players to National Letters-of-Intent

TULSA, Okla.  –– The University of Tulsa men's tennis team signed three top international student-athletes to national letters-of-intent, it was announced today by director of tennis & head men's tennis coach Vince Westbrook.
 
The three players – Juan Pablo Cenoz from Corrientes, Argentina, Ezequiel Santalla from Mar Del Plata, Argentina and Connor Di Marco from Melbourne, Australia – will join the Golden Hurricane roster when classes begin in August. They each were among the top-5 juniors for their age group in their respective countries.
 
"We're excited to have these quality student-athletes join our Golden Hurricane family this fall. We believe that they can each have an immediate impact on our program and can't wait to see what we can achieve as a group in the upcoming season," said Westbrook.
 
Cenoz has achieved a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) high of 13.19, an Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) ranking high of 1657 and an International Tennis Federation (ITF) Juniors ranking high of 305. He has won 33 career ITF Junior matches.
 
In 2017, Cenoz was the Singles Champion at the ITF G5 in Asuncion, Paraguay. He also reached the singles final of the G5 in Villa Maria, Argentina. He was also an Argentina Doubles Champion at the G5 in Villa Maria, Argentina in back-to-back years of 2016 and 2017.
 
Santalla, who has won 39 junior ITF singles matches and has also recorded 39 doubles wins, reached a career high Men's ITF World Ranking of 1098 and an ATP high of 1336. In juniors, he recorded an ITF career high of 163 in the world and has a UTR high of 13.92.
 
In 2016, Santalla was a singles finalist at the ITF G5 in Asuncion, Paraguay, while winning the doubles title at the ITF G4 in Itajal, Brazil tournament. In 2017, he was a semifinalist in singles play at the ITF B1 in Mar Del Plata, Argentina.
 
Di Marco achieved an Australian Ranking high of No. 88, reached as high as No. 3 in 2017 for his age group in Australia and has a UTR high of 13.29. He was also an Australian Junior Davis Cup Selection Camp participant.
 
In 2016, Di Marco was a semifinalist in singles at the ITF G4 Sydney Australia tournament, the ITF G4 Melbourne Australia tournament and at the ITF G4 Fiji tournament.
 
Di Marco was also the three-time MVP at the Grammar Schools of Victoria.
