TULSA, Okla. -
The Tulsa men's tennis team is set to play three matches this week, including its lone home contest in the month of February. The Golden Hurricane (5-3) will open its slate by hosting Arkansas on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of TU. Tulsa will then travel to Ithaca, New York, and play No. 16 Cornell and Binghamton on Sunday.

The Hurricane hosted nationally-ranked Texas A&M (L, 1-6) on January 31 and traveled to Alabama (L, 1-6) on February 7. Since then, head coach Vince Westbrook's squad has been able to rest and prepare for its showdown with the Razorbacks (4-3).

The Golden Hurricane have lost their last three dual matches against Arkansas, but have won seven of the last eight matchups in Tulsa.

Arkansas has played to seven points on five occasions in 2020, with have split four matches ending in a 4-3 result. Over their last three matches, the Razorbacks have gone 2-1 when playing to seven points. This includes an upset win at home over then-No. 5 Baylor.

On Sunday, the Golden Hurricane are scheduled to play the Big Red (6-1) at 8 a.m. CT, followed by a midday meeting with the Bearcats (3-5) at 12 noon.

Tulsa and Cornell met for the first time in program history a year ago in Tulsa. TU clinched the win, 4-3, behind men's tennis alum Majed Kilani's three-set win in the top spot.

Cornell is coming off its first Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) title since 2013.

Sunday afternoon's matchup with Binghamton will be the first all-time between the two teams. The Bearcats stand at 3-5 overall, recently ending a two-match skid with a 4-3 win at NJIT. They have secured two wins in their last six outings. That includes a heartbreaking 4-3 loss to Youngstown State.
