TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa women's tennis team plays its lone home dual match in the month of February on Sunday against Abilene Christian at 1 p.m. at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of TU.
The Golden Hurricane (6-2) will look to end their two-match skid vs. the Wildcats (2-3). After winning six straight matches to open the 2020 campaign, Tulsa has suffered consecutive road losses to nationally-ranked Duke and Oklahoma State.
Abilene Christian is set to face TU in its second dual match on Sunday. The Wildcats are scheduled to play Oral Roberts at 9 a.m.
A win for Tulsa would improve its overall win total to seven matches. TU also leads the American Athletic Conference in total wins.
The Wildcats have won two of their last three matches, most recently picking up a 6-1 win at UTEP.
On Wednesday, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) revealed its first singles and doubles rankings in 2020. Martina Okalova slid to No. 84 in the singles rankings, while the All-American doubles tandem of Okalova and Vera Ploner climbed six spots to No. 34 in the poll.
In singles, Okalova stands at 11-4 overall, with a 6-1 mark at No. 1 singles. In doubles, the top tandem is 15-6 on the year and is 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.
