
Tulsa Men’s Tennis Opens Season Friday at No. 14 Oklahoma State

TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa men's tennis team opens the 2021 season against the nation's 14th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys on Friday night in Stillwater, Okla.
Tulsa is coming off a 10-7 mark in a COVID-19 shortened season a year ago and last played a team match on March 8, 2020.
Tulsa's Kody Pearson comes into the season with an ITA preseason ranking of 67th nationally, after posting a 14-10 mark a year ago with four wins over nationally ranked opponents. Pearson and doubles partner, Connor Di Marco, are ranked 29th in the preseason ITA doubles rankings.
This year Tulsa will face five of the nation's preseason top-25 teams in the first two months of the season. After the OSU opener, Tulsa will return to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Sunday to face the No. 6-ranked TCU Horned Frogs in a 3 p.m. matchup. The remaining national foes in Tulsa's first 10 matches include No. 17 Mississippi, #24 Texas Tech and against No. 14 OSU, all of those matches at home.
