Tulsa’s Kayley Cassaday Named to AAC All-Conference First Team

TULSA, Okla. Tulsa volleyball's Kayley Cassaday was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team, the conference announced this morning. It's the first all-conference honors for the junior from Overland Park, Kansas.
 
Cassaday led the Golden Hurricane in kills this season, recording 439 kills, 3.99 per set on a .242 hitting percentage. She had the third most kills in the conference, and the second-best kills-per-set ratio in the AAC.
 
Cassaday collected two AAC Weekly Honor Roll honors, on September 6th and November 15th. During the November 21st match against Cincinnati, Cassaday delivered a new career-high of 26 kills on .453 hitting percentage. The junior ended the regular season with four-straight matches of 20 or more kills.
 
Cassaday will look to continue her impressive junior campaign in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) later this week. Tulsa, who accepted an invitation to the NIVC on Sunday night, will play UTEP on Thursday, December 2nd in Fort Collins, Colorado.
