
Rautio and Trefflich Earn AAC Weekly Honors

TULSA, Okla. – Setter Roosa Rautio and outside hitter Kylie Trefflich both were selected for American Athletic Conference weekly awards, leading the Hurricane to a sweep of the Memphis Tigers (3-1, 3-0) last week, it was announced today.
Rautio was selected as the AAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Trefflich landed on the Weekly Honor Roll.
The Finnish setter was vital for the Hurricane in both victories accumulating 89 assists, 15 digs and 4 blocks. She averaged 12.71 assists per set across the 7 sets she played in. Rautio assisted on 85.6-percent of the Hurricane 104 kills.
Trefflich came out of the gate hot for the Hurricane beginning the series by recording a career-high 16 kills in the 3-1 win over the Tigers. In the series Trefflich had 26 kills on 67 attacks with only 2 errors for a .358 hitting percentage. She also recorded 4 digs and 2 blocks defensively for TU.
This is the first time this season that the Hurricane has landed on the American Athletic Conference weekly awards.
Tulsa will be back in action on Friday, March 5 at home in the Reynolds Center against the Houston Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
