The Tulsa women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to Houston on Sunday afternoon at the Carl Lewis International Complex in Houston, Texas.  TU fell to 1-4 on the season, while UH moved to 4-2-1 overall.

"We are disappointed with the result," Head Coach Kyle Cussen said.  "We have to play with more consistency and play for 90 minutes.  We had a five-minute lapse in the first half and it cost us two goals.  We played better in the second half, but as time wore on we played more desperate and took chances.  It is a tough conference, a top five conference in America, but we have to regroup and find a way to turn this around."

Mia Darden put the Golden Hurricane on the board with just 2:53 ticked off the clock.  This was Darden's first goal of the season and 11th in her career.

Jazmin Grant evened the score in the 13th minute and then Mia Brascia gave the Cougars the go-ahead goal in the 19th minute.  Just 64 seconds later Zionah Browne put Houston up 3-1, a lead they would take into halftime.  Nadia Kamassah added the final score of the contest in the 81st minute.

Houston had a 13-6 lead in shots, including a 12-5 advantage in shots on goal, and a 9-3 lead in corner kicks.

Six different Tulsa players had one shot attempt, while Emma Malsy logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up eight saves.

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, March 28 against Temple.  Game time is set for 1:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
