TULSA, Okla. – Kayley Cassaday and Regan Pendleton have career nights, combining for 27 kills during the match; however, it is not enough as Tulsa falls to the Green Wave 3-1 in the Reynolds Center Friday night.

Cassaday led the team offensively, as she was the only Hurricane to record double-digit kills, putting in a career-high 18 during the match. The sophomore finished the contest with 5 digs and three blocks, accounting for 20 of the Hurricane's points.

The freshman, Pendleton, showed out recording a career-high 9 kills on 23 attacks, finishing with a .174 hitting percentage.

Tulsa flew around defensively, as 4 Hurricane players ended with double-digit digs. Libero Hannah Overmyer led the way with 22 followed by 14 from Aysu Dalogullari, 13 from Lauren Isenberg and 12 from Roosa Rautio.

Rautio recorded her 7th double-double of the season putting in 46 assists on 53 Hurricane kills and her 12 digs. Rautio did it all for the Hurricane adding 2 blocks, a kill and a service ace.

Callie Cook was honored before the match receiving a commemorative game ball for breaking the all-time career blocks record last weekend against SMU. She finished her day with 6 kills and 3 blocks.

With the three block assists today, Cook comes within 2 block assists of breaking the all-time block assist record at TU with 349. The record is currently held by Hannah Stout who has 348.

Tulsa and Tulane battled back and forth in the first set, as the Hurricane took a 10-9 lead, breaking the 9-9 early tie. The Hurricane proceeded to go on an 8-2 run, capturing a 17-11 lead. Building a 24-17 lead, senior Maggie Hembree ended the set with a kill to give the Hurricane a 1-0 advantage after the first set.

Tulsa went down 21-14 in the second set, but the Hurricane did not quit. TU used a 7-1 run to force Tulane to their 5th straight set point at 24-23. Tulane finished things off with a Yvette Burcescu kill to tie the match at 1-1.

The Hurricane fell behind quickly in the third set facing a 20-12 Green Wave advantage. Tulsa continued to fight; however, Tulane took the set 25-16, giving themselves a 2-1 match lead.

Like the third set, Tulsa face a large mountain to climb in the fourth set. The Green Wave held a 21-12 lead over Tulsa, before the Hurricane came storming back. Using a 5-1 run, capped off by a Hembree ace the Hurricane cut the lead to 22-17. Back-to-back kills by Cassaday trimmed the Green Wave advantage to 24-21. The Green Wave ended the Hurricane's hoped with a kill by Lizzy Stefanov, taking the match 3-1.

Tulsa and Tulane end the regular season tomorrow in the Reynolds Center at 1:00 p.m. on ESPN+. It will be senior night, as the Hurricane honors lone senior, Tulsa native Maggie Hembree.
