Tulsa Volleyball Drops Sunday Afternoon Match to Tulane

NEW ORLEANS, La. ― The Tulsa volleyball team lost in three sets Sunday afternoon to Tulane, 25-14, 25-14, 25-17. Tulsa drops to 6-5 overall, 1-1 in the American Athletic Conference while Tulane improves to 9-5 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
Tulane led wire-wire in the first two sets, winning both sets 25-14. Tulsa got its first lead on a Hannah Overmyer service ace to start off the third set.
Tulane used a 5-0 scoring run to clinch the third and final set, including the use of a coach's challenges on match point. The Green Wave tallied 44 kills on .324 hitting percentage, while recording six service aces.
Bailey Rowe and Aysu Dalogullari led the Hurricane with nine kills each, while Avery Kalsu contributed 24 assists.
Tulsa returns to the Reynolds Center for its conference home opener against South Florida on Friday, October 1 at 1 pm.
