
Tulsa’s Delanie Crawford Named The American Freshman of the Week

Tulsa women's basketball player Delanie Crawford was named as the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced today by the league office.
Crawford averaged 10.0 points, while shooting 70-percent from the field and 83-percent from three-point range on the week. She helped TU capture a win over Memphis and played in a tough-fought battle at Houston. Crawford posted six points, two rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal at Memphis, and then tallied 14 points, five rebounds and a steal at Houston.
This was Crawford's first weekly accolade and TU's fifth in eight weeks.
For her efforts on the week, senior guard Maddie Bittle was tabbed to The American's Weekly Honor roll. Bittle averaged 16.0 points and 3.0 rebounds, while shooting 64.7-percent from the field, 62.5-percent from behind the arc and 83.3-percent from the free throw line. Bittle recorded a career-high 22 points to help lead Tulsa to a win over Memphis, while adding six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, and then had 10 points at Houston.
