Tulsa Falls to #2 North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. ― After five straight wins to start the season, the Tulsa women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season to No. 2 North Carolina 4-0. The Hurricane drop to 5-1, while the Tar Heels improve to 6-0 and clinch a spot in the ITA Indoor National Championships.
 
North Carolina, who is the two-time defending ITA indoor champions, won the doubles point, winning 6-0 on courts one and three. The Tar Heels, who had five of their six singles players ranked in the top-57 of the ITA Rankings, rolled their momentum into singles play, winning on courts six and five before clinching on two.
 
Tulsa will return to action a week from today, on Saturday, February 5th against Purdue at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. First serve is set for 11 am.
