Tulsa’s Temira Poindexter Selected as The American Freshman of the Week

Tulsa women's basketball player Temira Poindexter was named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced today by the league office. This was Poindexter's sixth accolade in 11 weeks.
Poindexter averaged 9.0 points and 4.0 rebounds, while recording seven assists and six blocks on the week. She shot a solid 46.7-percent from the field, while averaging nearly 28 minutes a game against both Memphis and Cincinnati. Against the Tigers, Poindexter had 11 points, and then recorded career-highs of six blocks and five assists against the Bearcats.
