
Tulsa Women’s Soccer Hosts Cincinnati on Thursday

The Tulsa women's soccer team returns to action against Cincinnati on Thursday, October 6 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
After the game, TU will honor seniors Gabrielle Armstrong, Emily Brandenburg, Bree Doeble, Kayla Fernandez, Liliana Fernandez, Aubrey Lechlider, Jordan Martinez, Megan Nielsen, Isold Runarsdottir, Grayson Schimmels, Emilie Torres and Selma Vidgren.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688. Champions Fund Members who donate $300+ get in free.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on ESPN+. TU fans can subscribe to ESPN+ to watch select Golden Hurricane basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball games. TU is 6-4-1 on the season and 1-1-1 in American Athletic Conference play. The Golden Hurricane ranks 19th in saves percentage (0.869), 33rd in goals-against average (0.667) and 47th in shutout percentage (0.500) among the nation's best. Tatum Sanders ranks second in goals-against average (0.167), second in saves percentage (0.955) and 76th in shutouts (4) in the nation.
Tulsa has scored 17 goals on the season, including a team-best four goals by both Madison Tokarchik and Jordan Frederick. Quinn Turner has tallied three goals, while six others have one score. Frederick has a team-high three assists, while seven others have at least one. Sanders has played 540 minutes in goal, earned 21 saves and allowed just one goal.
Cincinnati has a 4-1-4 mark on the season, including a 0-0-1 record in the league. Vanessa DiNardo has a team-best four goals on the season, while Megan Smith has three scores, and eight others have at least one goal. Brandi Thomsen and Mackenzie Tucker both have a team-high two assists. Anna Rexford has played every minute in goal, picked up 21 saves for a 0.724 saves percentage and allowed eight goals for a 0.89 GAA.
The Bearcats have a 9-2 lead in the all-time series over TU, including a 1-0 win last season in Cincinnati.
