STILLWATER, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa men's basketball team will make a short trip west on U.S. 412 to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys this Friday after Thanksgiving at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Tipoff for the Black Friday matchup is set for 7:00 p.m. and will air on ESPN+. Mike Wolfe and Bryndon Manzer will have the action. Bruce Howard and JR Rollo will broadcast the radio call on Big Country 99.5 FM and The Varsity Network app.

Friday marks the 114th meeting between the two schools, with Oklahoma State leading the all-time series 74-39. OSU is 22-27 at Gallagher-Iba Arena and won the previous matchup there 71-59 on Dec. 17, 2017. The Hurricane last won at OSU on Dec. 2, 2015, beating the Cowboys 66-56. That was the last time Tulsa has beaten a Big 12 opponent on the road.

Tulsa enter Stillwater with a 2-3 record after finishing fourth at the Myrtle Beach Invitational the previous weekend. The Golden Hurricane fell in its finale 77-60 against the Murray State Racers. Bryant Selebangue's second double-double and 11 points from Sam Griffin was not enough to overcome 38.2 percent shooting and only four 3-pointers.

Selebangue has stepped up with Nikita Konstantynovskyi out, averaging 11 points and nine rebounds. He's shot 57.9 percent from the floor in the opening five games, hitting double digits in scoring three times and missing out on double-doubles by one rebound against Oregon State and one point against Loyola Chicago.

Griffin was electric in the Myrtle Beach Invitational, averaging 17.3 points in the three games and hitting 10 threes. He was especially effective in the second half, scoring 41 of his 52 points in the second 20 minutes. Against Charlotte, he helped Tulsa make its comeback as he scored every point in a 19-9 TU run to cut the lead to two. Griffin was named to The American's weekly honor roll for his performance in Conway, S.C.

Oklahoma State returns home with a 3-2 record after splitting's its games in the Bahamas the previous weekend. The Cowboys fell in overtime to The American's UCF, who will soon be a regular opponent for OSU. The Knights came back from 11 down at halftime to stun the Cowboys in overtime.

OSU responded with a win against DePaul in the finale on Sunday. Balanced scoring from four Cowboys in double figures helped lead OSU to the victory. Kalib Boone (17) and Avery Anderson III (16) led the way in scoring while Moussa Cisse added 11 rebounds.

Anderson III leads a trio of Cowboys who average more than 10 points, scoring 13.4 per contest. Cisse nearly averages a double-double with nine points and a team-high 11 rebounds per game.

Following Friday's game, the Golden Hurricane will finally return to the Donald W. Reynolds Center after not playing at home since Nov. 12. Tulsa will host Oral Roberts in the next iteration of the Mayor's Cup on Saturday, Dec. 3, kicking off a four-game homestand before finishing nonconference play at LMU. Tipoff for the game against ORU is set for 2:00 p.m. and will air on ESPN+.
