ORLANDO, Fla. –– Coming off an 83-77 win over Cincinnati Saturday night, Tulsa will get back into action quickly as the Golden Hurricane travels to play the UCF Knights Monday night in Orlando.

This game is a make-up from when the original contest scheduled for Jan. 8 was postponed due to covid protocols within the Tulsa basketball program.

Monday night's game will tip-off at 6 p.m. (CT) on ESPN+ from UCF's CFE Arena.

The Knights come into the game with an overall 14-8 record and 6-6 mark in the American Athletic Conference. Whereas Tulsa (8-15, 2-10 AAC) played two nights earlier, UCF's last game was six days ago when the Knights defeated Wichita State at home 71-66.

This is the 25^th meeting in the series as Tulsa leads 14-11. UCF won both games a year ago and has a four-game home court winning streak in the series.

On Saturday, the Hurricane tied a season-high with 83 points against Cincinnati and was led by 21 points from both Darien Jackson and Jeriah Horne. The Hurricane shot 52-percent from the field and outscored the Bearcats in the paint 44-26, while holding a slight 41-40 edge in rebounding.

On the season, Horne leads Tulsa with a 16.1 scoring average and 7.0 rebounds, while sophomore guard Sam Griffin is next in scoring with a 15.4 average. Jackson scores at a 9.0 clip and grabs three rebounds per game and 6'9" Rey Idowu is next with 8.2 points and is second in rebounding at 4.3. Both Idowu and Jackson have become significant scoring threats lately. Idowu has scored at a 17.0 clip over the last three contests, while Jackson has averaged 16.5 points in the last two games.

UCF is led by a trio of guards averaging double-digit points as the 6'5" Darin Green averages 13.8 points, 6'2" Darius Perry at 11.3 and 6'5" Brandon Mahan puts in 10.5 points per game. As a team, UCF averages 70.6 points, while shooting 43 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and Bruce Howard and J.R. Rollo will be on the radio call, airing on Big Country 99.5 FM.
