GREENVILLE, N.C. –– The University of Tulsa will wrap up its four-game road trip with an American Athletic Conference rematch at East Carolina on Saturday afternoon.
 
Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. (CT) on ESPN+ in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. Bruce Howard and J.R. Rollo will be on the radio call, airing on Big Country 99.5 FM.
 
The Golden Hurricane enter Saturday's contest with a 9-17 record, 3-12 in The American, while East Carolina sits at 14-13, 5-10 AAC.
 
Saturday is the 28th meeting between the two programs in a series Tulsa leads 23-4. The Hurricane is also 7-2 in road games against the Pirates and have won four-straight with the last loss coming in 2017. However, ECU won the earlier meeting this season 73-71 in the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Vance Jackson hit a double-clutch 3-pointer in the corner to put the Pirates up two with under 10 seconds to play, lifting East Carolina to victory.
 
Tulsa visits having lost 75-61 in its midweek game against SMU on Wednesday night. Jeriah Horne paced the Hurricane with 24 points, five rebounds and four assists, but no other Tulsa player finished in double figures. TU only trailed by three at the break, but SMU blew the game open with a 24-3 run early in the second half that included five 3-pointers.
 
Horne leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 16.2 points per game. He also pulls down a team-high 6.8 rebounds. Sophomore guard Sam Griffin is next in scoring, averaging 15.0 per game. Graduate senior Darien Jackson scores at a 9.1 clip. Jackson has also shot 55.1 percent from the field this season.
 
ECU is paced in scoring by three Pirates who average double figures. Tristen Newton (17.1) leads the way, followed by Vance Jackson (13.2) and Brandon Suggs (10.5). Jackson also leads the team in rebounding, pulling down 6.0 per game, while Brandon Johnson averages a slightly less 5.5.
 
After Saturday's matchup, Tulsa will head back to the Reynolds Center for the final two games of the regular season, starting with Wichita State on Wednesday and finishing against UCF on Sunday, Mar. 6 for senior day.
