TULSA, Okla. ― The 37th ranked Tulsa women's tennis team claimed its 10th victory of the season Sunday afternoon after defeating American Athletic Conference foe South Florida 4-0. The Hurricane improve to 10-5 on the season, and 8-2 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
 
Tulsa started off with an early lead, winning the doubles point behind victories at from Valeriya Rozenkova/Maria Berlanga at No. 1 doubles and Lily Hutchings/Ana Naranjo Martinez at No. 3 doubles. Rozenkova/Berlanga are now 10-5 on the season, while Hutchings/Naranjo Martinez are 10-3. Tulsa as a team is 30-9 in doubles play this spring.
 
The Hurricane didn't look back after that, as Laia Conde Monfort, Hutchings, and Lian Benedejcic all won their singles matches in straight sets. As a unit, Tulsa is 48-25 in singles play this season, with six players having at least seven victories.
 
Following the win, Tulsa will hit the road next weekend, heading north to face off against No. 56 Kansas State in Manhattan, Kansas on Saturday.
