Tulsa Tallies Nine Top-5 Finishes at First Day of ORU Invitational

TULSA, Okla. – In its outdoor season debut, the Tulsa track and field team tallied nine top-5 finishes to wrap up the opening day of the Oral Roberts Invitational.

On the men's side, Henry Visser won the men's 400-meter hurdles, finishing just ahead of teammate Emmanuel Okwuone. Visser also collected a 4^th place finish in the 200-meter dash, while Kyran Lacy finished in 7^th at 21.74.

For the women, Jaidah McCallon won the 800-meter run at 2:07.78, while Keely Jones finished in fourth and Brianna Hays in fifth. In the 200-meter dash, Anna Mager finished in second at 24.83, while Elizabeth Roca placed third at 24.97. Kaitlyn Johnson and Jayda Gibson both tied for 6^th at 25.31. Layla Roebke recorded a second place finish at 10:25.72 in the steeplechase, and Rachel Hamel finished 6^th in the javelin throw.

The Oral Roberts Invitational will wrap up tomorrow, with field events beginning at 8 a.m. and running events at 1 p.m.
