No. 46 Tulsa Shuts Out North Texas 4-0

TULSA, Okla. ― The 46th ranked Tulsa women's tennis team posted its third consecutive shutout Saturday, downing North Texas 4-0 to improve to 13-6 on the season, and 10-2 at home.
Tulsa, like so many times this season, took the doubles point behind 6-4 wins from the duos of Valeriya Rozenkova/Maria Berlanga at No. 1 doubles and Laia Conde Monfort/Shura Poppe at No. 2 doubles. Both Tulsa tandems are on five-match win streaks in doubles play, and the Hurricane is now 38-9 this season in doubles play as a team.
TU rolled its momentum into singles play, getting three straight-set wins from Berlanga, Lian Benedejcic, and Monfort. With their wins today, Benedejcic and Monfort have reached 10 singles wins this spring, joining Lily Hutchings as the only three with double-digit win totals, while Berlanga has nine.
Tulsa will look to make it four-in-a-row tomorrow when it hosts No. 19 UCF at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free, and t-shirts will be handed out to the first 100 students.
