Tulsa Men’s Tennis Team, Student-Athletes Earn ITA Academic Honors

TEMPE, Ariz. –– The University of Tulsa men's tennis team was recognized as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team and seven student-athletes were named Division I ITA Scholar-Athletes, the ITA announced today.
In 2022, 933 Division I Men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 163 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
The men's tennis team had a 3.63 GPA for the 2021-22 academic year. The seven Golden Hurricane student-athletes earning scholar-athlete honors include Connor Di Marco, Adham Gaber, Stefan Hampe, Kody Pearson, Daniel Siddall, Matthan Tharakan and Tom Thelwall-Jones.
To be recognized as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a 3.5 grade point average for the current academic year. Qualification for the ITA All-Academic Team requires a team to possess a GPA of 3.2 or above for the year.
