Tulsa’s Incoming Freshman Jenni Roller Wins WOGA Junior State Championship

STILLWATER, Okla. –– Jenni Roller, who will begin her collegiate career with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane wome's' golf team this fall, held on for a four-stroke victory at the Women's Oklahoma Golf Association (WOGA) Girls' Junior State Championship on Wednesday.
 
Roller, from Jenks, entered the day with a five-shot lead over Natalie Blonien at the Stillwater Country Club. Blonien closed the gap to one stroke, but Roller's eagle on the par-4 11th hole to take a three-shot lead. It was a lead that grew to four when Blonien bogeyed the par-4 12th.
 
A 25-foot par-saving putt on the final hole for Roller gave her the tournament crown by finishing at 3-over 143 with rounds of 70-73. The win was Roller's first victory in the championship flight of the WOGA junior and added to her State Class 3A regional and state titles earlier this year.
 
Roller will Roller will play in the U.S. Girls Junior, followed by the PGA Junior then the Gateway First Bank Tulsa Open on the AJGA circuit July 25-28 at The Oaks Country Club.
