TU Women Kick Off Spring Season With Tulsa Invite

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa women's tennis team will host the Tulsa Invite this weekend in the Michael D. Case Tennis Center to open the spring season.

The Golden Hurricane is slated to play Omaha Saturday morning at 9 a.m. before squaring off with Louisiana Tech in singles play in the afternoon. Starting at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Tulsa will play the doubles portion of the Louisiana Tech match and will wrap up the invite with a full match against Wyoming.

All matches will be streamed on Track.Tennis.

Tulsa is coming off an impressive fall season that ended with a 41-25 record in singles play and 25-13 in doubles play. TU women went 42-10 in all home individual matches.

Junior transfer Oleksandra Nahurska (Oral Roberts) will look to continue her home winning streak, as the Lugansk, Ukraine, native is currently 5-0 in singles play and 6-0 in doubles play this year.

Senior Laia Conde Monfort and sophomore Maria Berlanga Bandera went 5-4 together during the fall. The duo closed out the fall schedule with three straight matches during the ITA Central Regional Championships to win the doubles consolation bracket.
