TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa women's tennis team (3-1) will travel to Norman, Okla., to partake in the 15^th annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Kickoff Weekend. It is the 14^th year the Golden Hurricane women have appeared in the tournament.

All matches will stream on Oklahoma's PlaySight live stream.

Spanning Saturday, Jan. 28, to Sunday, Jan. 29, Tulsa will compete in a bracket that includes Texas Tech (3-0), Minnesota (0-0) and No. 17 Oklahoma (3-2). Tulsa will play Texas Tech at noon on Saturday and face either Minnesota or the hosting Sooners in a championship or consolation dual on Sunday.

The ITA Kickoff Weekend is the first major event of the spring season, bringing together the top 60 men's and women's college tennis teams for a weekend of intense competition. Hosted by 15 men's programs and 15 women's programs from across the country, the ITA Kickoff Weekend is an early-season test for teams against programs they might not typically face.

Each season, the ITA Kickoff Weekend field is determined by the ITA Kickoff Weekend Draft held in the summer months after the previous dual-match season. The Top 15 ranked teams in the final ITA Rankings of the season automatically serve as hosts.

The advancing winner from each four-team bracket will compete in the 2023 Women's ITA National Team Indoor Championships set for Feb. 10-13.
