TULSA, Okla. — For the second season in a row, the University of Tulsa men's basketball team will take on UCF on Senior Day as the Golden Hurricane welcomes the Knights to the Donald W. Reynolds Center Sunday afternoon.

Tipoff for the American Athletic Conference matchup is set for 4 p.m. and will air on ESPNU. Drew Carter and Mike O'Donnell will bring fans the action. Bruce Howard and JR Rollo will broadcast the radio call on Big Country 99.5 FM and The Varsity Network app.

Last season, with Tulsa trailing 72-70 with under three seconds remaining, senior Jeriah Horne grabbed a rebound off a missed free throw, took three dribbles and launched a 55-foot jumper that touched nothing but net to give Tulsa a 73-72 win against the Knights on Senior Day.

This Sunday, Tulsa (5-22, 1-15 AAC) will honor its seniors again prior to playing UCF (15-12, 6-9 AAC) in a nationally televised game. The Hurricane will also celebrate its fans and thank them for their support with Fan Appreciation Day. Tickets to the lower bowl are available for just $5. At the concession stands, hot dogs, popcorn and sodas will cost just one dollar. The Category 5 Fan Shop located behind section 104 will have 30 percent off all merchandise and there will be door giveaways for all who attend.

The Knights and Golden Hurricane will meet for the 29th time and last in the regular season as members of the American Athletic Conference with UCF joining the Big 12 next season. TU is 12-1 at home in the series and 10-1 in the Donald W. Reynolds Center. UCF won the earlier season matchup 96-52 two weeks ago.

Tulsa is searching its first win since an overtime victory against Tulane on Jan. 21. An undermanned Hurricane came close to achieving this goal against ECU on Tuesday. With only nine active players, Tulsa had a chance to win after a late missed free throw but was unable to get a good look at the buzzer in a 62-60 loss.

Brandon Betson had a season-high 20 points in the loss, while freshman Jesaiah McWright set a career best with 11 points and Ari Seals recorded career highs with 19 minutes and five rebounds.

Tulsa was without junior guard Sam Griffin, who missed the game with injury. He remains five points shy of 400 for the season. He and Betson also lead the team in 3-point shooting, knocking down 63 and 56, respectively. It's the second season in a row and 16th overall two or more Tulsa players have reached the 50 3-point mark. Griffin has made at least 50 triples in every season of his collegiate career.

The Knights have lost three in a row since beating Tulsa and have dropped eight of its past 10 games. Freshman guard Taylor Hendricks has been spectacular for UCF, leading the team in points per game (14.9) and rebounds (6.6) while shooting 47.2 percent from the floor, 41.1 percent from three and 79.5 from the charity stripe.

After closing the home slate, Tulsa will head to Tampa, Fla. to face South Florida in the finale of the regular season on Wednesday. Tipoff for the final regular season matchup is set for 6 p.m. (CT) and will air on ESPN+.
