TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa women's tennis team (8-5) is set to host Abilene Christian (6-6) on Saturday, Mar. 4, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. It is the last home contest for the Golden Hurricane women before they hit the road for a seven-match stretch.
TU's dual match with the Wildcats is slated for a noon start and will be streamed on Track.Tennis.
Tulsa and Abilene Christian will meet for just the second time in program history. In 2020, the Hurricane held ACU scoreless on the way to a 7-0 sweep at home.
Leading the way for the Wildcats is Eva Arranz. At 5-1 overall at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions and entering the weekend on a five-match win streak, she leads ACU in win percentage (.833).
Tulsa's Maria Berlanga Bandera and Laia Conde Monfort enter as the Hurricane's top singles performers. Both athletes are 8-3 in the spring season and headline the top two spots in the singles lineup.
Berlanga and Lily Hutchings form Tulsa's winningest doubles team of the dual match season, sitting at 9-3 at the No. 1 position. Last week, the sophomore duo earned their first ranked win over Furman's No. 51-ranked Jess Dawson and Sara Snyder.
