No. 75 TU Falls to No. 45 Charlotte in Home Finale

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa women's tennis team ended the home slate of the 2022-23 season in a 4-0 loss Saturday to No. 45 Charlotte (20-5) at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

The loss drops the 75^th-ranked Golden Hurricane to 12-10 on the year.

Tulsa dropped the doubles point as the 49ers pulled away with 6-3 decisions in the first and second positions, leaving the No. 3 spot unfinished.

In singles play, Charlotte grabbed straight-set victories in the second, third and sixth positions to seal and end the match at 4-0. Sophomore Myroslava Zelenchuk was able to extend her match to a third set before the dual match ended.

Tulsa will wrap up the regular season at the USTA National Campus against Memphis (7-11) on Monday, April 17, at 8 a.m. The American Athletic Conference Championships will start next week, beginning on Wednesday, April 19, and running through April 22.
