LAWRENCE, Kan. — The University of Tulsa women's tennis team could not keep up with the No. 21 Kansas Jayhawks (13-4), falling 4-0 in Lawrence.

The loss drops the Golden Hurricane to 11-8 on the year.

Tulsa dropped the doubles point as Kansas grabbed 6-1 and 6-4 decisions in the second and third positions, leaving the No. 1 spot unfinished.

In singles play, TU fought to three sets in the first five positions, but couldn't close out down the stretch, falling in the first, third and sixth positions to seal the 4-0 loss. The No. 2, 4 and 5 spots were left unfinished.

Tulsa returns home to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center this weekend for its final home matches of the season. First, the Hurricane will host No. 51 Denver (13-4) at 5 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 7. Then, TU will face Cincinnati (7-12) on Saturday, Apr. 8 at 2:30 p.m.
