TULSA, Okla. —
The University of Tulsa women's tennis team (11-8) returns home after a month on the road to wrap up the home slate of the 2022-23 season against No. 51 Denver (13-4) and Cincinnati (7-12) at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

First, the Golden Hurricane will take on Denver on Friday, Apr. 7, at 5 p.m. Then, Tulsa will honor seniors Lian Benedejcic and Laia Conde Monfort before Saturday's Senior Day match with Cincinnati scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

Lian Benedejcic is a four-year letterwinner from Ancarano, Slovenia. She is 56-28 in singles play and 11-6 in doubles play for 67 total wins for Tulsa. She has recorded double-digit singles wins in every year of competition at TU, including a 2021 campaign in which he led the team with a 14-3 singles record.

Laia Conde Monfort is a four-year letterwinner from Castelló, Spain. She is 62-27 in singles play and 50-38 in doubles play for 112 total wins for the Hurricane. She was a unanimous All-Conference selection in 2022 on the way to being named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Year. She was also a 2021 All-Conference selection.

Both matches will stream on Track.Tennis.

The 13-4 Pioneers are coming off back-to-back 7-0 sweeps over Kansas City (7-9) and South Dakota (3-12) at home last week. On the road, they are 2-4 overall and 1-2 against ranked opponents.

No. 93 Taylor Melville leads the way with a 12-3 overall record in singles play, all at the No. 1 position. Andrea Burguete Beltran is 11-4 overall and 8-1 in her last 10 head-to-head matches in the second position. Burguete Beltran and Claudia Martinez de Velasco lead the charge in doubles play with a 5-3 overall record across the first and second positions.

Denver leads the overall series 2-1. Last year, Tulsa dominated the Pioneers 4-0 at home due in part to wins by Laia Conde Monfort (No. 1), Maria Berlanga Bandera (No. 3) and Ana Naranjo Martinez (No. 6) in singles play.
Last week, the 7-12 Bearcats competed in four home matches, going 2-2. They suffered a 4-3 loss to Xavier (9-7) and a 4-0 sweep to Wichita State (11-8), and they earned 6-1 and 5-2 wins over Northern Kentucky (8-5) and DePaul (9-8).

Cincinnati is 1-8 on the road and 0-2 against American Athletic Conference opponents.

Leading the way for the Bearcats is Kelli Niehaus, who is 9-7 overall and 9-6 from the No. 3 Singles spot. Callie Flanagan and Cassie McLay form Cincinnati's premier doubles team with a 6-3 record at the No. 1 position.

The Hurricane is 2-0 all-time versus the Bearcats with 4-0 and 7-0 sweeps in 2017 and 2021.
