Facing Wichita State
•      This is the 31st meeting between Tulsa and Wichita State.
•      WSU leads the overall series 22-8, winning 15 of the first 16 meetings between 1977 and 2000.
•      In the last five meetings, Tulsa has a 4-1 against the Shockers under Angie Nelp.
 
3-2 in AAC Play
•     Tulsa opened the American Athletic Conference season two straight wins, before falling twice to even the league record at 2-2.
•      Tulsa went 3-2 in its last game, an 81-72 road win at Florida Atlantic.
•      In the three wins, Tulsa has averaged 74.7 points, while holding the opposition to 62.7 points for a 12-point win margin … the Hurricane is shooting 45.3% from the field (81-179), 40.9% from 3-point range (34-83) and 70.9% from the free throw line (22-31).
•     In the two losses, Tulsa shot just 30 percent (30-100) from the field and 20.8 from 3-point range (10-48). The Hurricane had a season-low .280 field goal percentage against Temple and had its second sub-20% 3-point shooting night of the year at South Florida.
 
Bouncing Back
•     After dropping two straight AAC games, Tulsa bounced back with an 81-72 road win at FAU
       last Saturday.
•     With the win Tulsa moved to 13-5 overall and 3-2 in AAC play.
•      Tulsa had four players score in double digits against the Owls, making it just the third time this year Tulsa had four double-digit scorers.
•      Delanie Crawford led the way with 25 points, followed by 18 from Temira Poindexter, 14 from Ahrray Young and 10 from Mady Cartwright.
•      Tulsa made a season-high 13 three-pointers for its fifth double-digit 3-point game of the year.
 
Finishing Non-Conference Play
•      Tulsa closed out the non-conference season on Dec. 20 with a 48-47 last second win over Southeastern Louisiana at the Maui Classic.
•      Tulsa finished the non-league campaign with a 10-3 record and a five-game winning streak.
•      In the Angie Nelp era, Tulsa has posted a 30-7 non-conference record in regular season play.
•      Tulsa has won 10 non-league regular season games in each of the last three years under Nelp.
 
Another 20-Point Game
•      In Tulsa's last outing, Delanie Crawford tallied a game-high 25 points vs. Florida Atlantic, giving players a combined total of 18 20+ scoring games this year.
•      Temira Poindexter has nine 20+ scoring games, Delanie Crawford eight and Ahrray Young one. Poindexter and Crawford have combined for 17 20+ scoring performances this season, while Poindexter and Ahrray Young combined for one.
•      Among Poindexter and Crawford's 20+ games they each have one 30+ scoring game.
•      Tulsa is 5-0 when two players reach the 20-point mark… Poindexter and Crawford have four games where they each score 20+ points in the same game, including against Lindenwood, New Orleans, Clemson and Florida … Ahrray Young and Poindexter each had 20+ points vs. Tulane.

•      Temira Poindexter leads the way with 26 blocks (1.4 bpg), followed by Hadley Periman with 17 (0.9 bpg) and Caranda Perea with 13 (0.7 bpg)
 
Poindexter Moving Up Career Lists
•       Temira Poindexter ranks on the school's all-time top-10 lists for points (1,176) in eighth place, blocks (121) for fifth place, field goals made (430) for eighth place and 3-point field goals made (136) for ninth place.
•       Poindexter averages 15.5 points in 76 career games.
•       Poindexter needs 125 more points to tie Lila Osceola (1,301 pts, 1996-00) for seventh place.
•       She became just the 12th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.
•       She reached the 1,000-point mark by scoring 15 points at TCU on Dec. 1, which was her 66th career game played … she became the second-fastest to reach 1,000 career points, behind Jillian Robbins (2003-07), who accomplished the feat in 63 games.
•       Poindexter needs six more blocks to tie Chanel Johnson (127 blks, 2007-08) for fourth place.
•       She needs six more 3-pointers to tie Tatum Beer (142 3fgm, 2007-11) for eighth place.
•       With 430 career field goals made, Poindexter is eighth on the all-time list and is two shy of tying Rebecca Lescay (432 fgm, 2017-22) for seventh place.

•       Crawford has a .466 field goal percentage, .414 from three-point range and .813 from the charity stripe.
•       She is also second on the team for rebounds (109) for a 6.1 average and leads Tulsa in assists with 43 for a 2.4 average.
•       Crawford has 16 double-digit scoring games and leads Tulsa with three double-figure rebounding games and three double-doubles.
•       Crawford scored 20 of Tulsa's 48 points against SE Louisiana, and the most important ones came with 0:01 left in the game when she made 2-of-2 free throws for a 48-47 victory.
•       For her career, Crawford now has 855 career points in 75 career games, needing 145 more points to become the 13th place in school history and second current Tulsa player to reach 1,000 career points.
 
Atop the League
•       Temira Poindexter leads the American Athletic Conference in scoring with her 19.4 average.
•       With nine 20+ scoring games, Poindexter also leads the AAC in that category, while teammate Delanie Crawford's eight 20+ scoring games is second in the league.
•       Hadley Periman's four 10+ rebounding games ties for fourth-most in the AAC for games with 10+ rebounds.
•       Crawford's three double-doubles in tied for the fourth-most in the AAC.
•       Crawford is also ranked fourth in the league for both 3-point field goal percentage and free throw percentage.
 
Evans and Mathews Return
•    Senior Jessika Evans and sophomore Cam Mathews returned to the lineup for the Tulane game after the duo each missed the first 14 games of the season rehabilitating from injuries.
•    Mathews has played in the last four games, while Evans has played in three of the last four games.
•    Matthews has averaged 9.8 minutes since her return … she has added eight points, eight rebounds and three assists.
•    In three games, Evans has averaged 1.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 11.0 minutes, increasing her playing time in each game going from two to 12 to 19 minutes.
•    Last year, Evans averaged 6.8 points and 5.1 rebounds in 17.8 minutes per game before being sidelined with a knee injury … as a true freshman, Mathews played 9.0 minutes per game and scored 48 points.
