TULSA, Okla. –– Coming off its first setback of the season, the University of Tulsa men's basketball team hosts Little Rock on Wednesday evening in the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and will air on ESPN+ with Josh Haley and former star Tulsa point guard Pooh Williamson on the call. Fans can also catch the contest on Big Country 99.5 FM and the Varsity Network app. Bruce Howard and JR Rollo will call the action.

The Hurricane leads the series against the Trojans 7-6, and TU is 6-2 in the Reynolds Center against Little Rock. In Tulsa's first road game of the 2023-24 season, Little Rock knocked off the Golden Hurricane 84-82 in overtime.

Tulsa's first road game of this season also went beyond regulation as Tulsa fell 111-106 at Missouri State on Saturday and dropped to 3-1 on the young season. The Hurricane erased a 15-point lead late in the second half to force an overtime period. After Tulsa's five-point lead slipped away in the first OT, Braeden Carrington hit a halfcourt shot to keep the game alive. After the teams were tied again following double overtime, the Bears were able to pull away in the third.

In his best game in a Tulsa uniform, Justin Amadi dropped 24 points on 8-of-11 shooting alongside nine rebounds. Because of foul trouble, Amadi played 35 minutes, including key minutes at the five. Braeden Carrington collected his first double-double with a 20-point, 10-rebound performance. Dwon Odom added 21 points and Tyshawn Archie scored 17.

TU now has five players who average double figures in scoring, paced by Keaston Willis with 16. Willis fell short of 10 points for the first time at Tulsa on Saturday. Odom is averaging 15.5, Barnes 14.3, Archie 14.0 and Carrington is scoring 12.0 per game. Amadi at 9.7 points per contest is close behind.

Carrington still leads TU on the glass, grabbing 7.0 a night. Ian Smikle was limited in minutes on Saturday and still pulls down 5.5 rebounds a game. Both Willis and Barnes average 5.0 boards. A trio of Hurricane lead the way in assists. Odom has dished out 15, while Archie and Carrington have helped assisted on 14 baskets this year.

Little Rock is 2-2 heading into its second straight road game against an American Athletic Conference opponent. On Saturday, the Trojans traveled to San Antonio and handed UTSA an 81-64 loss. The Trojans had four finish in double figures in the win and dished out 21 assists against the Roadrunners.

Mwani Wilkinson leads the Trojans in scoring, averaging 17.3 points at a 55.8 percent clip. Former Memphis Tiger Jonathan Lawson has found his footing in Little Rock, averaging 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds with 14 assists this season. He finished with 15 to help the Trojans in their big win Saturday. Ante Beljan (10.8) and Jordan Jefferson (10.0) are the other two to reach double figures on average.

Following Wednesday's game, the Golden Hurricane will go on an extended road trip. First, the Hurricane will face Loyola Chicago on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. and will are on Marquee Sports Network. Then, Tulsa will head to Jacksonville, Florida for the Jacksonville Classic. Tulsa will face Detroit Mercy and Georgia State in a pair of games on Tuesday and Wednesday.
