Tulsa Boats Sweep Races in Spring Opener

TULSA, Okla. –– The Tulsa Golden Hurricane rowing team captured victories in all four races on Saturday on the Oklahoma River at the OU Exchange Boathouse facility.
In the Varsity 8+, Tulsa claimed a 9.9-second victory over Central Oklahoma with a time of 7:06.6, while the 2nd Varsity 8+ clocked a time of 7:22.6 finishing 47-seconds ahead of UCO (8:09.6) and 49.4 over third-place Creighton (8:11.8).
In Varsity 4+ action, the Hurricane edged UCO by 4.7-seconds in a time of 8:10.76 and outdistanced Creighton buy a time of 22.3-seconds.
Tulsa boats placed one-two in the 2nd Varsity 4+ as the Hurricane finished with times of 8:32.6 and 8:48.3, while Creighton's boat was 1:02.6 behind Tulsa's top finishing boat.
Tulsa will be in action on March 23 as the Hurricane will host Creighton at 9:00 a.m. on the Verdigras River in Catoosa, Okla.
