STILLWATER, Okla. — The Tulsa women's tennis team fell Sunday to a tough Arizona Wildcats squad in a 4-1 decision in a neutral dual match at Oklahoma State's Greenwood Tennis Center. The Golden Hurricane's four-match win streak was snapped as TU dropped to 14-5 with just four regular season matches left this season.

Arizona took the doubles point with 6-3 wins in the first and third positions, clinching the point at the bottom of the lineup. 82nd-ranked Ana Naranjo Martinez and Mariana Manyoma Velasquez were up 5-4 when doubles play concluded.

Senior Maria Berlanga Bandera, the nation's 65th-ranked singles player, highlighted singles action for Tulsa on Sunday, cruising to a 6-1, 6-3 victory in her usual spot atop the lineup and upsetting No. 47 Josie Usereau. Berlanga moved to 21-6 overall and 13-4 in dual matches.

After that, Arizona ran away with the match with two-set winners in the second, fifth and sixth positions, with Tanvi Narendran sealing the deal in the fifth spot (6-4, 6-1). Velasquez held a one-set lead in the No. 3 court, while Naranjo was fighting to stay alive one line down at Singles No. 4.
