Scouting the Cal Poly Mustangs
  • This will be the third all-time meeting between TU and California Polytechnic State University.
  • The prior two meetings also came in neutral tournaments. The Mustangs swept Tulsa in 1997 and the Golden Hurricane came back with a 3-1 winner in 2011.
  • Cal Poly is off to a 2-1 start after losing to No. 11 Minnesota and taking down St. Thomas and Ball State last week.
  • Last year, the Mustangs went 22-9 and lost the Big West Championship final to Hawaii as the No. 2 seed.

Measuring up the Oklahoma Sooners
  • Friday's matchup with Oklahoma will be the 39th overall meeting in the series.
  • The series dates back to TU's inaugural season in 1976. OU leads 36-2.
  • The Sooners have escaped with 3-2 wins in each of the last four meetings, including last year at TU's home invitational.

Facing the Hosting Razorbacks
