Women’s Tennis Returns To Case Tennis Center for Weekend Matches

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa women's tennis will host matches at Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Friday and Sunday this weekend, facing Tulane and TCU, respectively. The match on Feb. 13 will take place at 5 p.m., while the Feb. 15 match begins at 11:00 a.m.
 
Scouting Tulane
  • The Green Wave (2-4) are coming off a 4-0 win over Louisiana Lafayette on their home courts, when Tulane took the doubles point and three straight-set singles wins to secure the match in Lafayette.
  • Since 2001, Tulsa holds a 9-6 advantage in the all-time series between the two programs.
  • The most recent matchup came in 2025, when the Green Wave earned a 4-2 victory.
  • Tulsa's last win in the series came in 2023, as the Golden Hurricane claimed a tightly contested 4-3 decision.

  • The Horned Frogs (3-1) are coming off a 4-0 sweep of Tulsa's fellow American Conference member, North Texas, dropping only two sets through the match. That win marked TCU's third straight victory, a streak they will look to continue this weekend.

  • The last matchup between the two programs resulted in a 4-3 win for Tulsa last season.

  • Tulsa women's tennis fell to Kansas State, 4-2, on Saturday afternoon at Billingsley Tennis Center in Fayetteville, Ark., dropping the Golden Hurricane to 4-4 on the season.
  • Kansas State secured the early advantage by taking courts two and three in doubles.
  • Tulsa evened momentum early in singles as Santos delivered a straight-set win over Kyselova, 6-3, 6-2, on court two. Kansas State responded with victories on courts four and one, as Smolinska defeated Alice Baba, 7-5, 6-2, and Maralgoo Chogsomjav rallied past Basson, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
  • Ndungane kept the Hurricane within reach with a three-set battle on court five, defeating Bernovich, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4. Kansas State clinched the match on court six, where Rustemova earned a 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 6-1 victory over Coral Valle.
