EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Ben Uzoh and Rod Earls each scored 10 points to help Tulsa to a 66-51 win over Texas-El Paso on Saturday night.
Brett McDade added eight points, while Calvin Walls led the Golden Hurricane with eight rebounds.
Tulsa (16-9, 6-6 Conference USA) led 32-18 at halftime and never trailed. They made only 38 percent of their shots but UTEP's shooting was even worse. For the game, The Miners (13-13, 5-7) hit only 25 percent of their shots from the field.
Kevin Henderson led UTEP with 14 points and six rebounds. He was 7-of-9 from the free throw line. Maurice Thomas added 10 points.
Tulsa outrebounded UTEP 49-35.
