CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Tulsa volleyball squad (17-8, 9-4) fell to Cincinnati (21-6, 11-2), 3-0, in a road match on Sunday in Cincinnati's newly-renovated Fifth Third Arena.

The first set comprised of streaks from both teams, with the Bearcats managing to hold on and edge out Tulsa in the first frame, 25-23. Sophomore Callie Cook and freshman Elyse Savadove tallied four kills each to pace the Hurricane, who hit an efficient .342 as a team in the set.

Tulsa struggled to find a rhythm in the second frame, as Cincinnati secured the set, 25-15. Despite dropping the set, Tulsa showed its prowess at the net, racking up three total team blocks in the stanza.

The third and final frame played out similarly, with the Bearcats clinching the set and match, 25-15. Senior Rachel Moore stepped up offensively, knocking down four kills on six swings for a .500 clip in the frame.

As a team, the Hurricane added 31 kills and seven blocks. Junior DS/L Taylor Horsfall assumed her usual role on the back line, pacing Tulsa in digs with 12 as she continues to close in on No. 3 all-time in the category.

Head coach Ryan Wills' bunch returns to Tulsa for its final home matches of 2018 next weekend, hosting SMU on Friday, Nov. 9, and Houston for Senior Day on Sunday, Nov. 11.

At home this season, the Golden Hurricane are a lofty 10-1 inside the Reynolds Center in 2018.
