Pearson Advances to Consolation Semifinals at 2019 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Tulsa men's tennis sophomore Kody Pearson advanced to the Consolation Semifinals at the 2019 Oracle International Tennis Association (ITA) National Fall Championships on Friday. The men's championships are being held at The Tennis Club at Newport Beach Country Club in California.
The sophomore improved to 8-3 overall via a 6-4, 6-3 win against Tin Chen from Louisville in the Consolation Quarterfinals. Pearson secured a spot in the quarterfinal round by way of a walkover. He was set to play No. 77 Jackie Tang from Columbia in the Consolation Round of 16.
Pearson is set to play No. 110T Raphael Lambling from South Carolina in the Consolation Semifinals on Saturday at 2 p.m.
