Tulsa Track and Field Finishes Competition at Arkansas Qualifier

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Select members of the Tulsa track and field team competed one final time before The American Indoor Championships next week, as the Golden Hurricane competed at the Arkansas Qualifier on Friday at the Randal Tyson Indoor Track. A total of six Golden Hurricane set new PRs.
On the women's side, Carsyn Spurgeon captured bronze in the long jump with a mark of 6.05m (19' 10.25"). That ranks second in program history. In the 200-meter dash, she shaved nearly three-tenths of a second of her previous time, finishing at 24.65.
In the 800-meter run, Katharina Pesendorfer and Adrena Mazzei each set personal-best times. Pesendorfer finished in seventh at 2:12.48, while Mazzei posted a time of 2:15.48 for 10th.
On the men's side, Josh Sutton secured a spot in the 60-meter finals. He finished eighth overall, running to a time of 6.95.
Henry Visser and Kyran Lacy each improved their PR times in the 200-meter dash. Visser crossed the finish line in 22.03, while Lacy finished at 22.30.
Stanley Williams was the final competitor to end the night with a new personal-best. He finished the 800-meter run to a time of 1:59.76.
The Golden Hurricane will now prepare for the American Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. The two-day conference championship meet begins on Friday, February 28, at the Birmingham Crossplex, in Birmingham, Alabama.
