TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa men's basketball team looks to bounce back from a tough loss when Oregon State comes to the Donald W. Reynolds Center Monday night in a game televised on ESPNU.
 
A late three pointer sunk Tulsa (1-1) 59-58 against the Air Force Falcons on Saturday evening, while Oregon State (1-1) enters having lost to Iowa State 60-50 on Friday.
 
Tip off for the game is set for 8:00 p.m. Kevin Brown and Jon Crispin will have the call. Fans can also catch the game on Big Country 99.5 FM with Bruce Howard and JR Rollo.  
 
Jeriah Horne leads the Hurricane in scoring, averaging 21.5 points per game. Horne tied his career high in the season opener with 28 points, and then scored 15 in the game against Air Force. Sam Griffin continued his stellar start to his Tulsa career with a team-high 21 points in Saturday's loss. He's averaging 19.0 points per game.
           
Oregon State enters having suffered a setback against Iowa State on Friday at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa. No Beaver reached double digits in scoring, but 11 of the 13 who played, scored in the loss. Like the Hurricane, Oregon State struggled from the field in the second game of its season, shooting only 33.0 percent from the field and 3-22 (13.6 percent) from deep.
 
Warith Alatishe leads the team in scoring and rebounding entering Monday's contest. He averages 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Maurice Calloo and Jarod Lucas are the other two Beavers averaging double-digit scoring with 12.0 and 11.0, respectively. They each pull down 4.5 rebounds per game.
 
This will be the fourth meeting between the Oregon State and Tulsa. The Golden Hurricane lead the series 2-1 and are 1-0 in games played at the Reynolds Center. The last meeting between the two squads was a 75-64 Tulsa win at home on Nov. 22, 2016. Junior Etou paced the Hurricane with 17 points, and Jaleel Wheeler scored 16. Tres Tinkle was the game's high scorer with 19 for the Beavers.
 
After Monday night's game, Tulsa has four nights off before continuing the Sunshine Slam tournament on location in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Hurricane will face Rhode Island on Saturday before wrapping up the event on Sunday against either Boston College or Utah. Both games will air on ESPN+.
