TULSA, Okla. — The University of Tulsa women's tennis team will host the Hurricane Invite at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center this weekend to wrap up the fall season.
The three-day event will start on Friday, Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday have 9:30 a.m. start times. Tulsa players will face athletes from Wichita State, Central Arkansas, and North Texas.
The Hurricane will see six of its eight players on the courts this weekend. Senior Laia Conde Monfort and sophomore Maria Berlanga Bandera will be sitting out after winning the doubles consolation bracket of the ITA Central Regional Championships in Stillwater on Oct. 16. They also played together in the doubles portion of the ITA Women's All-American Championships in early October.
Junior Oleksandra Nahurska will look to continue her dominance on the home court. During the Tulsa Invite in late September, she went 3-0 in both singles and doubles play. Freshman Amy Leather also holds a 3-0 record in home doubles play.
